SUPPLY AND PREPARATION

Determine layout for the lining as well as panel sizes.

Each lining project should be treated individually. Once the preliminary decisions have been made regarding colour, thickness, etc., the liner layout should be established to ensure that panels are cut and pre-fabricated to ideal sizes, ensuring that the welds are optimally positioned.

Prefabrication into panels of specific sizes and shapes.

AKS is normally custom produced for specific projects in selected colours, thicknesses, widths and lengths. AKS can be supplied to the installer in coiled or flat sheets, but flat sheets are the most economical to transport.

A schedule of panel sizes can be agreed upon to minimise wastage on site. Any further cutting required on-site is carried out with a sharp knife or jig-saw, in accordance with the cutting schedule and actual formwork dimensions.

Large panels can be prefabricated on site prior to installation. Specific shapes and panels can also be prefabricated using electronic butt welding equipment.

By arrangement, a technician can be provided to assist on-site with the forming and installation of the sheets before the concrete is poured.
